Woozy - Woozy DVD#1 [!]
lifestyle video from Dominik Wroebel - more than just the sum of it's parts

At one time we had only interbike in Las Vegas, the place where you'd be guarentee to meet everyone you haven't seen for the whole year - now we have trash-chic in Cologne and the 'Woozy' (www.woozy.de) vid premier. Yeah ok maybe it wasn't las vegas, neither was it the industry equivelent of the jackpot but it was the best meeting of anyone that had any connection to bmx in Cologne, even the noise polution politzei turned up! The bar was full, it was fucking excellent to see so many people as into the video as i have seen Dominik himself into it for the past year plus - the man is an obsessive - and it shows in the slick editing and splicing (i just wanted to use the word ok). More of a lifestyle video than your big tricks but a motivator and a slick presentation of a varying array of events from the Woozy 2003 r/trip to the jam they held in the same year that was entertained by the arrival of some of the names from our sport. It's a video that makes you feel good with a more open variety of music than many videos i have previously seen on this level. Not really part of the video or relevant to this review but it was also the first trailer preview of the coming wethepeople video (due April 2004 at last check).

The entire evening was a session for locals and non locals alike, even the guys from Oldenburg came down (respect), it was every reason bmx means so much and none of the reasons it sucks; this is what it is about for me. Buy the damn dvd, you'll doing something positive even if you don't like it. Respect anHerrn Wroebel, Koeln and bmx represent.

ah yeah and if anyone did any photos i'd like to put some up but didn't take any...? The Woozy video is availale only on DVd through the www.woozy.de web site.
