Bio by Rob Harrison:
Liam 'fluff' Oakes Fluff has the ability to surprise me with his innovative riding and style every time I see him. From my perspective he has all of the things that he classes as the most difficult to master - consistency, balls and style. He's been riding for about four of his sixteen years now, fancies other peoples mothers, wants to travel and wanted to go riding with Johnny Knoxville RIP.

He is one of the leading new talent coming through the northern scene and blows up everything his wheels touch. Usually found on the streets and trails of his local Doncaster or at the Pitwheels skatepark park. On the recent Jansport road trip he formed a force to be reckoned with and even pulled€€well briefly anyway€€although if I could pull and be as drunk as he was I would be impressed. Not nearly as impressed as watching him pull his first flip; because in over ten years of riding I have never seen anyone pull a first flip as smooth, as clean or as bio as I watched in Fluff's. I can see a raw enthusiasm in Liam that tells me that the scene is still very alive.

I have also seen him learning in other directions as I watch him clean his vomit (the vomit he didn't know he'd done) out of the tent after we'd shown him what the town at night had to offer. He can hold his own at the local with Ben Manuel (only in riding though, because Ben can handle his drink) and I have seen him ride other parks like he was the local. Watching him ride vert on the few times he gets the chance is an eye opener for me; He has flow and I admire his style. Fluff is a rider that I and those who ride with him have respect for, and a name that I think others will hear more of in the future. Rob Harrison
